Locations & Travel
Wedding Venues
The wedding is being held over two locations. The first is Puistokulma, where we will have the ceremony and food. The second is Heureka, where we will have the party. Go to Puistokulma first!
After the party at Heureka, we will return to the first location for continued celebrations late into the night.
Puistokulma 1:00pm
Where the ceremony, food and after party will be held.
Address:
Puistokulma, Talkootie 4, 01350 Vantaa
Heureka Science Museum 18:00pm
Where the evening reception (party) will be held.
Address:
Heureka, Tiedepuisto 1, 01300 Vantaa
Travel to Helsinki (from abroad)
Both locations are in a place called Vantaa, which is a linked city just outside Helsinki. Similar to how the suburbs of London were originally independent but got absorbed as the city grew. The airport is located in Vantaa, and is about an hour outside the Helsinki city centre.
Planes
Helsinki is a well connected airport, serving as the hub from Europe to Asia. As such many airlines have routes:
- Ryanair
- Finnair
- British Airways
- Norwegian Airlines
Hotels
Being a capital city in the EU, there are lots of options, with varying price. While the wedding is in Vantaa, we recomend staying closer to the Helsinki city centre to make the most of your trip.
- Some guests have booked the Clarion Hotel
- While others have found it cost-efficient to share a AirBNB.
Travel to 1st Venue
The first venue is called Puistokulma and is located in Vantaa. The ceremony will start at 1:00pm, so please arrive shortly before then. This is also where we will be returning to, after going to Heureka for the reception (in UK weddings, the wedding party is called the reception). This is where the food will be served, as well as an opportunity to buy drinks.
Puistokulma, 1:00pm
Where the ceremony, food and after party will be held.
Address:
Puistokulma, Talkootie 4, 01350 Vantaa
Travel to 2nd Venue
The location of the second venue, Heureka Science Museum, is nearby. It is only one stop away from the first, however this means we will need to travel between locations. The need for this is because Heureka can only be booked between 18:00-22:00, hence the other location before and after. We have booked the science museum for a private showcase, as well as a continuation of festivities. There will also be private tours of the museum for us.
Heureka Science Museum 18:00pm
Where the evening reception (party) will be held.
Address: Heureka, Tiedepuisto 1, 01300 Vantaa
We will not be providing travel between locations, however they are close by each other. We suggest:
Taxi
Route: UBER etc
Start stop: Puistokulma
End Stop: Heureka
Duration: 10 mins
Travel within Helsinki
Helsinki has all forms of transport: metro, buses, trams, trains and even ferries. Handily, they are all accessed on the same ticket!
The easiest way to access the public transport is to download the HSL app:
NOTE: The airport and wedding venues are in zone C, so buy an ABC ticket.
Normal travel around Helsinki can be done on an AB ticket.
On this, you will be able to purchase a single ticket for about 3 euros. All times and routes can also be found in the HSL app.

Please RSVP by the 1st June using the form below:
Song Suggestions
Everybody loves music, and well we don’t want to make decisions on a playlist…. So help us by suggesting songs!
Gifts
Your presence is the best gift, and there is no need for other gifts. If, however, you want to gift us something, we do appreciate any donations for our honeymoon as it is much easier to carry from Helsinki to London than physical objects.
Give online
We have set up a PayPal system that you can donate to in any currency:
Give in Person
If you prefer to give in person, that is of course also fine. There will be a box on the day to put cards in.
Things to do in Helsinki
Helsinki is a modern capital city with lots to offer. The Finnish culture, while reserved, is very friendly and boasts lots of unique experiences. For a lot of guests, this will be the first time they will get to experience Finland (less so for the Finnish guests). As such, we can suggest activities to make the most of the trip. Ville and James will of course up for joining anything you decide to do too!
To help keep things organised, here is a suggestion box. Ville and James will be in touch on pre/post wedding activities we will organise for all (such as a group sauna visit etc).
Guestbook
ChatGPT told me that a guestbook is a thing to add to the website, so please leave any heartfelt messages below.
